Invitation: Transatlantic Lecture on 16 March 2018

On Friday 16 March 2018 two policy officers from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs will present their views on 'Transatlantic Cooperation 2.0' at the first Transatlantic Lecture of 2018.

F. Hinse & T. Schoen

On Friday 16 March 2018 Fennigje Hinse and Tom Schoen from the Western Hemisphere Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will give fresh insights into the current state of Dutch-American relations.

Transatlantic cooperation has been crucial for mutual security and prosperity on both shores of the Atlantic. At the same time, such a fundamental collaboration cannot be taken for granted and needs constant updating.

From this point of view, recent political and diplomatic developments have posed new challenges to transatlantic exchange. What does that mean for the relationship between the Netherlands and the US? Is it time for imagining a new kind of transatlantic relations?

The lecture will be held at the RIAS and starts at 13.00 (auditorium will open at 12.30).
